Came here with my family for my mom's birthday, and it was a great choice. The waiting line is usually long so I suggest making a reservation online. When you come in, theres a waiting from for kids and adults filled with claw machines, little arcade games, and board games. The waiting area offers water and tea as well as snacks and candy which was great while we waited for about half an hour. They have a wide range of hotpot food, sauce bar and soup bases choices, and there was an option to try 4 different soup bases which suited to each of our different taste buds. The service and ambiance is better than I can put into words. The waiters and waitresses were very attentive with our needs and when they took out my moms cake, they walked in with a light up birthday sign while singing happy birthday and gave her a little haidilao bag as a gift which was so sweet. We also got the noodle dance performance which was fun, somehow the dance made the noodles taste better. There was also a random face swapping performance and he started throwing gifts at everyone which was super fun for everyone to interact with one another! Not sure if this happens everyday but I went on a random day and he was clockedd in. The bathroom has heated seats, hair ties, pads, floss, lenses wipes, and makeup?? They have everything you need to retouch and leave the place not smelling like hot pot, overall a experience I definitely recommend

Out of all the hot pot places I've been to, the broth at haidilao has always been top tier. We had the four types of broths: pork bone broth, laksa, spicy broth, and golden chicken broth. I don't know what they put in the golden chicken broth, but it was so ridiculously flavorful. I even posted on reddit seeing if anyone knew the recipe for it (no one knew). I knocked one star because they did change their sauce format from when I last visited a little over a year ago. They gave half the kind of sauces now and have converted the other half for desserts. Not too much of a fan of that. The service is still great! Still my favorite hot pot spot in NYC.

What is there not to say about this place?! It's the ULTIMATE HOTPOT location. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Hotpot can be a little bit overwhelming if you have never been. The staff was very caring about what our needs were and as we were cooking away into the delicious broth the staff would quickly clean up the empty plates to give us table room. The sauce station is awesome and you can get super creative. They even have soft serve icecream sections as well. We ended up getting free dessert of this clear jelly and it was so delicious along with the poppin boba. Another great experience is the secrete words, there are certain words where you can get a free sailor moon wand or a free broth etc. And last but not least the bathroom! So luxurious from glasses wipes to toothbrushes! It was insane lol Thanks always for the great experience!

There's parking just 1/2 a block from here. The service is excellent. More expensive than other hot pot places. After being greeted staff offered a free grab bag of goodies. Odering the hot pot we were able to get four hot pot bases per table and try each other's. The order tablet enables the patron to fine tune the amount of spiciness of the dish on the order tablet. Spills, napkins, first aide for burns (made up that last one) and all around hospitality (free ice cream) made this a unique and memorable experience. The bathrooms have amenities such as a wrapped up toothbrush. Just a warning: a guy dances near patrons when someone orders a certain noodle dish! A truly unique experience.

My first time and it was a fun experience. A bit pricey but still worth it. Wagyu and matcha dessert were my favorite. They have live performance which makes it more fun. But personally would not go back because of the price for 4 was over $300. I do love hot pot but wouldn't pay for that much. The seating was nice and the broth were good . It was a good experience though.

What a fun place for hotpot. It was just me and my bf for dinner but we saw lots of families. Very family friendly even for the kids. Upon walking in, there are two very nice waiting rooms. The fanciest waiting rooms I've ever seen at a restaurant lol. They have some games and refreshments while you wait too so I imagine the wait can get quite long if there are two rooms. We put our name down on the wait-list on Google. There's also a reservation option on Google. I didn't see a wait-list or reservation option on Yelp so it would be convenient for all the Yelp users if they don't know about the Google option. You can also join the wait-list or make a reservation when you go onto Haidilao's website through the Yelp app, but Google is less clicks haha. You order through an iPad at your table. The tables are also quite roomy. The sauce bar is $3 for AYCE so that was an obvious add on. I have never been charged for a sauce bar though, but guess that's their concept. The bar also includes small snacks like seasoned broccoli, pig ears (which were so good), peanuts, shrimp crackers, egg rolls, and tater tots (which I thought was an interesting addition for a hot pot place). So the $3 was very worth it. Everything else is a la carte - veggies, meat, seafood, noodles, etc. There's an option to have 1-4 broths at your table. They have separaters for each broth and the server made great recommendations for most popular, spicy, non spicy. We ended up choosing two broths. We also ordered the noodle dance which was such a fun experience. During dinner, the face changing dancer put on a performance which everyone really enjoyed. So fun seeing the kids all excited too. The dancer and the servers threw out little charms to the audience, more specifically for the kids. Our total order ended up being around $130 after tax and tip. On the pricier end but the quality of the meat was a bit bet than an AYCE place. Their presentation and service is also amazing. This would be a great place for group dinners. I saw a solo diner was seated with a large stuffed animal, which is such a unique cute touch. We also both left stuffed.

I've been going to HDL consistently for 2 years now and it's still one of my favorite hotpot places in nyc. In terms of cleanliness, service and food quality it is top notch. In terms of price it is on the pricier side ($50-$75pp). The servers are very attentive and offer to make you a soup and dipping sauce. I always leave feeling full and satisfied. The Chinese opera show, dancing noodle and birthday singing also make the dining experience more fun and memorable.

Very expensive but so many combinations and Haidilao hacks turn out to be delightful surprises! The broths were good, we got spicy pork bone, tomato, tom yum, mushroom. The spicy pork bone broth wasn't spicy at all though. The meat was high quality - fatty, juicy, rich - albeit expensive for the portion that you get. So if you find joy shoving large quantities of hotpot meat into your mouth like me, you may be a little disappointed. It seems like the premium beef brisket gives a large portion of good quality meat for a cheap price though, so will order more of that next time. The short rib is particularly delicious with good marbling and flavor though. They have so many incredible side items too. Salted egg yolk shrimp paste, wrapped shrimp paste, quail eggs, cheese-filled rice cakes. And the Haidilao hack of putting meat coated with peanuts, sesame, chili flakes, and sugar inside their golden bun is truly amazing - sweet, spicy, nutty, umami. The noodle is also wonderful, comes with a show and the texture of the noodle is perfect, love the chew! Overall, despite being set back like 75pp, I really enjoyed all the meat and eye-opening food combinations!

Best hotpot I've ever had! The broth was so flavorful, you will barely need any dipping sauce for the food. You can choose up to 4 flavors, but my favorite were the tomato and the mushroom one. You might think it's expensive to eat here since it is not an AYCE place, but it's worth it. The quality of the food is good and you will definitely make your money worth. Plus the service is amazing and they offer free snacks while you wait for your table. Highly recommended!
